- I finally got my new Zoom 28.8 modem to work, and it _does_ seem
- somewhat faster than the old 14.4 .... but every time I connect to my
- ISP now, I get a message that I'm hooked up at 115200 bps. It ain't
- _that_ fast ... when I'm downloading, I frequently see transfers of less
- than 1k/sec. What gives? Is there some way of checking to see the real
- connection speed? And is there some setting change that'll tweak it up a
- couple notches?
